The hike to Wilcox Pass is not too difficult and offers an excellent panoramic view of the surrounding landscape and especially of the Athabasca Glacier.

From the beginning, a steep trail climbs to the plateau, without presenting too many technical problems. It first crosses the forest and then, after barely 2 kilometers, the first viewpoint is already offered to us. We find two of the famous red wooden chairs there which invite us to take a short break. Ideal to take advantage of the beautiful view of the Athabasca glacier and the Dome glacier.

We then continue over wide open terrain to Wilcox Pass and finally to the upper viewpoint of the Athabasca Glacier. When we take the hike in Spring, there is unfortunately still too much snow on the summit and we cannot go all the way to the end of the trail.
