The short and easy circular hike to Moose Lake begins at Maligne Lake. Early in the morning, windstill, we see beautiful reflections on the water. The trail crosses the forest to Moose Lake. Here, as its name indicates, it is not uncommon to observe moose taking their bath of the day in the water or resting at the edge of the lake. Despite a patient wait, we unfortunately did not have the chance to see them. After completing the Moose Lake Loop, we walk along the north shore of Maligne Lake on the Mary Schaeffer Loop hiking trail.

It is also possible to take a boat ride on Maligne Lake, or simply enjoy the nature and the view of the lake from the terrace of one of the restaurants.
